Accountant

We are looking for an Accountant to strengthen our Finance & Reporting team on a full time basis. This team plays a pivotal role in facilitating key processes at Da Vinci and providing reliable and timely management information. It is responsible for accounting, controlling and (regulatory) reporting. Our Finance colleagues work closely together with the business and their valuable input and analysis support important decision-making by Da Vinci’s management.

Responsibilities

• Play a crucial role in the month-end process of entities in the Netherlands and abroad, including monthly journal entries, review of general ledger, maintaining accruals, balance sheet reconciliations and tax- & management reporting
• Prepare monthly consolidated financial statements, financial reporting packages and year-end financial reports
• Assist with the preparation of audited annual accounts
• Support the accounts payable officer, if necessary
• Assist in implementation and improvement of the Finance related control framework, including procedures and key controls to ensure quality of financial accounts
• Play an active role in responding to ad-hoc questions from internal and external stakeholders
• Participate in company-wide projects and proposing solutions
• Interact with various counterparties, as needed

Requirements:

• HBO/WO level
• Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in similar role
• Experience in preparing full sets of financial accounts
• Strong communication skills and fluency in English – Dutch is not a strict requirement but a strong plus
• High personal working standards (organized, committed, accurate, responsive, diligent)
• Comfortable managing deadlines and able to work independently
• Strong data analysis and computer knowledge (ex. Excel pivot tables, graphing, VLOOKUP’s, etc)

Bonus points

• A background in tax compliance and tax accounting skills
• Experience working with NetSuite
• Experience in Indian, US and Dutch GAAP and/or IFRS
