Network Engineer

As Network Engineer, you will be working closely with a fun team of highly skilled, smart and dedicated traders, developers and operation engineers in order to optimize and design a robust network infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Design and deploy a robust and efficient network to facilitate our low latency trading infrastructure
• Implement, improve and enrich network monitoring solutions to have full visibility of the network status
• Be the driving force behind innovations, ranging from realizing new connections between stock markets and our network to implementing solutions that optimise our current infrastructure
• Maintain and improve the existing network/infra/systems
• Develop and enact contingency plans and provide support to our teams
• Facilitate contact with internal and external stakeholders (traders, colocations, third party suppliers)
• Natural habit to produce quality documentation on network design, diagrams and support materials for internal teams

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology or equivalent
• Ability to adapt to the specific IT needs of our organization (low latency, high performance, redundancy, and high availability)
• Ability to work in a small team, with broad responsibilities. Able to work and think out of the ordinary network landscape
• Knowledge of Cloud platform environments such as AWS and more specifically knowledge of AWS network architecture and Network components (VPG, AWS-DC) configuration
• Knowledge of opensource monitoring and configuration management tools
• Knowledge of protocols as STP, IGMP, LACP, NAT, VRRP, HSRP, PIM, BGP and OSPF routing protocols
• Experience in wide area networks, branch offices, multicast routing, security devices (firewalls) and wireless networks, including knowledge of Cisco and Arista technologies
• Experience with network security best practices, IPS, network segmentation
• Experience supporting environments with low latency networks, capture probes and network latency management systems is a plus
• Experience with VPN technologies and IPSEC encryption protocol is a plus
• Experience with Network Automation is a plus
• Experience with 0365 (management) office environment is a plus
