Legal and Compliance Officer

As a legal and compliance officer supporting Da Vinci’s activities, you will work closely with the trading teams and be a key player in keeping high standards for legal advice, risk and compliance. This role reports to the Chief Compliance Officer.

  • Laws and regulations: Advise on compliance with the regulatory legislation applicable to Da Vinci’s trading activities
  • Policy framework: Establish, update, monitor and report on the compliance of company policies by business functions and by individual employees and ensure that effective processes are in place to effectuate these tasks
  • Compliance monitoring: Daily monitoring of trading activities in accordance with applicable laws and regulations and establishing and maintaining  compliance monitoring programs
  • Compliance training: Organize and ensure proper training of employees in the relevant areas of compliance
  • Cross functional engagement: Work together with other departments such as Risk, Finance, Accounting and Tax to achieve a streamlined and efficient approach on all cross functional projects within the organisation


  • Academic degree in the EU, UK or United States of America; Legal degree is preferred
  • 2 – 4 years of experience working in a legal and compliance function in a regulated financial services firm or law firm advising clients in the financial services sector
  • Affinity with trading in financial instruments from a legal and compliance perspective
  • Understanding of the regulatory legislation applying to financial and digital assets markets in general and financial services firms in particular
  • Experience in preparing annual compliance plans and compliance monitoring; Is familiar with control frameworks and 3 Lines of Defence methodology
  • Familiarity with regulatory policies such as anti-money laundering and KYC programs, sanctions screening, etc.
  • Familiarity with common company policies such as conflicts of interest, data confidentiality, etc.
  • Responsible, “go the extra mile” mentality, capable of balancing between the depth of legal and compliance matters and a practical approach where needed


  • Base salary between EUR 50k and 70k , depending on experience
