As a Data Engineer, you would be responsible for assisting the team in overseeing data pipelines, databases, and tooling. Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and optimise data pipelines and workflows
- Build and maintain data infrastructure, including databases and ETL processes
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and availability for internal use
- Support the team in data analysis and visualisation
- Automate data processing tasks and create tools for data-driven decision-making
- Collaborate with various departments to fulfill data requirements and deliver data-driven insights
- Handle various day-to-day data engineering tasks
Requirements:
- Degree in a technical field (Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Technology, or similar quantitative studies)
- 0-4 year of relevant work experience in data engineering or related fields
- Strong programming skills in Python and experience with SQL
- Experience with data pipeline tools, cloud platforms and data warehouse solutions is a plus
- Knowledge of ETL/ELT processes, data integration, and automation of data workflows
- Experience with distributed systems and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is an advantage
- Comfortable working with version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with large datasets efficiently
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to ensure data accuracy and integrity
- Structured, organized, and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- A flexible mindset and eagerness to learn new technologies
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English
